With six other trade associations, the EUTA invites the Member States to properly assess the impact of a withdrawal button for all distance contracts concluded by means of an online interface.
The right framework to look at such a proposal would be the European Commission’s fitness check of the current EU consumer protection framework. We urge policymakers to refrain from introducing a new withdrawal button before finalisation of the ongoing evaluation process.
