EUTA Announces New Leadership

The European Tech Alliance (EUTA) is eager to commence 2024 with renewed vigour, featuring a newly appointed leadership team. On the first of January 2024, Antoine Jouteau, the CEO of Adevinta became the new EUTA President and Robert Torvelainen, Senior Manager for EU Public Policy at Wolt, became the new chair of the board. Both have been elected for a two-year tenure.

Antoine Jouteau has been the CEO of Adevinta since August 2022. Adevinta is a leading online classifieds group and champion for sustainable commerce with a focus on Europe. Previously, Jouteau was the CEO of Adevinta brand Leboncoin, the French classified marketplace for seven years (2015-2022).

Robert Torvelainen leads Wolt’s EU public policy team, focusing on policy files and elevating Wolt’s profile among EU policymakers. Prior to joining Wolt, Robert gained experience from consulting at BCW Helsinki, several platform companies, and worked in politics and campaigning, including at the Finnish Prime Minister’s Office.

The following can be attributed to EUTA President and CEO of Adevinta, Antoine Jouteau:

“I am delighted to be elected as the new President of the European Tech Alliance. In order to thrive, European tech companies need to be able to compete on a global scale. That is why the EUTA focuses on encouraging policies that level the playing field, and regulation that fosters growth and innovation. At Adevinta, our technology already enables millions of people and businesses across Europe to make more sustainable choices and we want to support other organisations to do the same.”

“With the European elections approaching, I am proud to be driving forward the EUTA’s agenda and promoting a European strategy that will empower EU tech companies to lead through innovation.”

The following can be attributed to EUTA Chair of the Board, Robert Torvelainen:

“The strength of the European Tech Alliance lies in gathering many European tech champions under one umbrella. Our ambition is to be the number one partner to EU policymakers on digital policy – our member companies know what it takes to scale in Europe and we want to provide that experience to those shaping our operating environment.”
